Kula Haʻahaʻa's annual speech festival, Lamakū, is right around the corner, with the finals taking place on February 26, 2020. But until then, you can now enjoy the fantasic presentations from our 2019 finalists at last year's festival.

Lamakū honors the oral traditions of our ancestors, engaging Kula Haʻahaʻa haumāna in grades K-5 to learn and present a poem, moʻolelo or speech to their peers, kumu and makua.

Mahalo to all of the kumu who put this event together and hoʻomaikaʻi to all of the haumāna who distinguish themselves in presenting their works at this annual tradition.

Aisyss Respicio-Ragocos delivers her moʻolelo as a finalist from the Class of 2027.
