With so many choices, deciding on the best school for a child can be a daunting task for any family. Kamehameha Schools campuses are seeking out and developing ʻōiwi leaders for tomorrow. Kamehameha Schools is sharing stories about its campuses, and partnering with ʻohana to help their keiki become the best ʻōiwi leader they can be for the lāhui and beyond.
Here is just a glimpse into the lives of haumāna on each of our three campuses that we’ve been sharing via Facebook this month.
The 300-acre KS Hawai'i campus is located in Kea'au, eight miles south of Hilo surrounded by verdant forest land. Founded in 1996, the school currently enrolls 1,156 K-12 students. The closely knit campus cultivates ‘ōiwi-edge excellence in a fast-changing world.
The 180-acre KS Maui campus is located in Pukalani, nestled on the gentle slopes of Haleakalā. Established in 1996, KSM enrolls about 1,100 K-12 students. The campus offers a world-class college preparatory curriculum and is committed to the revitalization and perpetuation of Hawaiian culture.
The 600-acre hillside campus of Kamehameha Schools Kapālama is located on the island of O‘ahu. It is currently home to 3,192 students, grades K-12. The campus offers a boarding program, and a carefully designed Hawaiian culture-based curriculum to help students attain high academic performance, positive self-esteem, and a passion for serving the community.
