KS Maui will host its 14th annual Hoʻolauleʻa on Saturday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is coordinated by the KS Maui Parent, Teachers, Student ʻOhana (PTSO).
Hoʻolauleʻa helps to raise funds for the PTSO to support enrichment experiences that are not eligible for funding by the campus.
The annual celebration hosted on the beautiful grounds of the high school campus with views of Central Maui.
The Upcountry family event offers ‘ono food and food trucks, Hawaiian music and dance, Hawaiian cultural demonstrations that will show you how to prepare poi, pound kapa and an opportunity to try your hand at traditional Hawaiian games.
The entertainment schedule for this year includes Hālau Nā Lei Kaumaka o Uka and Kumu Hula Nāpua Greig, fresh off of their Merrie Monarch winning performances. Enjoy performances from the Middle School ʻUkulele and Hawaiian Ensemble and Ka Pā Hula o ʻAʻapueo, Hālau o Ka Hanu Lehua, Hālau o Ka Hanu Lehua and Kumu Hula Kamaka Kukona, Hālau Kekuaokalāʻauʻalaʻiliahi and Nā Kumu Hula ʻIliahi and Haunani Paredes, and Nā Wai ʻEhā. The entertainment stage is emceed by Alakaʻi Paleka, the Morning Goddess on KPOA 93.5FM.
Keiki can participate in fun games and make and take home crafts.
