The hard work from the last two and half months paid off for our hardworking Tako Tech team as they took one of three state qualifying positions from Maui. The competition is made up of four parts: Robot Performance, Robot Design, Research Project and Core Values. Tako Tech captured the attention of judges throughout the day with their outpouring of aloha and incredible sportsmanship to earn the Core Values awared. The team’s composite score from all four areas earned them third place overall and a trip to states. The team meets four times a week after school to program their robot, conduct their research project, and learn about teamwork. Mahalo to Kumu Julee Kaiaokamalie for her dedication to the team, Kumu Ashley for building the leadership and teamwork within the students, and Kumu Alana for providing support on the team’s research project. We are proud of your efforts and accomplishments! I mua Warriors!
