CyberCamp is a free interactive and engaging day camp designed to excite and grow passion for students around cybersecurity.

Sign-up for CyberCamp 2025

June 2, 2025

In collaboration with the CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Education Program and offered through the Kauluhala Summer Academy, the AFA CyberCamp gives students a chance to explore their interest in cybersecurity. CyberCamp is a week-long day program. This year, two sessions will be offered for students who will be in middle school (grades 6-8) next school year.

The AFA CyberCamp program is designed to excite and grow passion for students around cybersecurity, build their exposure to STEM career opportunities, and teach and strengthen important cyber defense skills through hands on instruction and activities.

Through the camp, students will learn how to protect their personal devices and information from outside threats, as well as how to harden entire networks running Windows 10 and Ubuntu operating systems.

The AFA CyberCamp will culminate in an exciting final team competition that simulates real cybersecurity situations faced by industry professionals and mimics AFA’s CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Defense Competition.

There are two course offered this summer. One for beginners and one for students who have previously attended a CyberCamp. Both courses will take place from Monday, July 14 through Friday, July 18.

  • The beginner course will run each day from 8 a.m. to noon
  • The advanced course will run each day from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. To be eligible for the advanced course, students need to have attended a previous AFA CyberCamp.

CyberCamp is FREE. But spaces are limited and will be filled first-come, first-serve, so don't delay in signing up.

All students receive camp instruction materials and CyberCamp t-shirt.

To sign-up, complete the camp interest form by Monday, June 30, 2025.

For more information, contact us at kauwela@ksbe.edu or by phone at (808) 982-0033.

Students will also have a chance to explore STEM career opportunities and teach and strengthen important cyber defense skills through hands-on instruction and activities.
