Kamehameha Schools has created a set of Hawaiian-focused devotionals for the four weeks of Advent. Share them with family and friends!

Each devotional includes:

  • A scripture reading in ʻolelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian language) and English
  • Some manaʻo (thoughts)
  • Questions to ponder
  • A pule (prayer)
  • A lesson, pule and activity especially for keiki
  • A hīmeni (hymn) with corresponding video

For details on the devotionals, including introduction and usage videos, see the initial I Mua Newsroom story.

In the video below, KS Cultural Specialist Hauʻoli Akaka singings the suggested hīmeni for the second week of Advent.

Advent Week 2
Theme: Maluhia (Peace)
Hīmeni: Pō Laʻi Ē (Silent Night)
