KS Lent Devotionals

WHAT: Hawaiian-focused devotionals created for use by KS students, families and others during the season of Lent. WHO: Developed by KS Maui Chaplain Kalani Wong, KS Kapālama Chaplain Kordell Kekoa, and Cultural Specialist Hauʻoli Akaka. WHY: To honor the deep Christian faith of KS founder Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop. THE DEVOTIONAL SERIES: Thus far, the devotional series includes the manaʻo of: Kalani Wong, KSM Chaplain Shontell Calina, KSH Christian Education Instructor Dr. Rod Chamberlain, VP of Campus Education Pua Fernandez, Admissions Director Kordell Kekoa, KSK Chaplain Each of the remaining devotionals will be posted to the KS I Mua Newsroom every Friday leading up to Easter.

The season of Lent is a time for reflecting on the gift that God gave us in his son Jesus Christ. Kamehameha Schools has created a series of Hawaiian-focused devotionals for the season of Lent. Although the devotionals were designed with students in mind, they can also be used by families or individuals to celebrate the coming of Easter.

KS Kapālama Kahu Kordell Kekoa shares his manaʻo in this week’s devotional.
