Senior Shaylee Yamashita was named a 2017 National YoungArts Foundation Finalist winner for her work in DANCE/Choreography. YoungArts' program is an application-based award for emerging artists across the United States. This is a prestigious and competitive program.  It is their signature program where the 166 2017 Finalists (21 dance finalists) across ten art disciplines recently convened in Miami for an intensive, life changing week of performance and study. As a Finalist her work will be further evaluated and recognized with a potential of being awarded a cash amount of $1,000 or more (up to $10,000) which can be used for college, an art school, or conservatory program.  We are very proud of Shaylee, congratulations!!!
