Robotics Team Architechs finish the 2019-2020 League Strong

On December 7, 2019 the Kula Waena Robotics team - Team Architechs completed the Valley Isle league winning two awards and securing 2 spots for the Hawaii State Middle School Vex IQ Championships. KSM Kula Waena has 4 teams, Architechs 96768A, B, C, D. 

 

Team A finished the league with a Skills ranking of 7th in the state of Hawaii and 26th in the world ranking and also winning the Judges Award which is given to the team deserving recognition from Judges for special accomplishments. The award was given for the team’s robot design. Team B - finished the league with a Skills ranking of 9th in the state of Hawaii and 70th in the world ranking. Team B also won the Sportsmanship Award which recognized the team’s respect for others and great enthusiasm It should be noted that team B has the 3rd best Programming rank in the state, trailing by 4 points off the leader. The ranking is a combination of driving skill and programming. Team C & D finished strong and consist of our first-year robotic students. Team C is currently ranked 25th and Team D 40th in the state in skills. C & D will know in a month if their scores are high enough to earn an invitation to the State Championship. All teams did an amazing job for our 2nd season participating in Vex IQ robotics and they should be congratulated.

 

The Hawaii State Middle Schools Vex IQ Championship will be held on February 29th, 2020 in our High School Gym.
