Aug. 4, 2021

Contributed by Communication Group Staff

Kamehameha Schools continues to invest resources and build partnerships in the Kaua‘i community with the ultimate goal of supporting youth and their ‘ohana.

By supporting Project KULEANA, we provide opportunities for Kauaʻi youth to connect to the unique place they are from, as well as rediscover, reconnect and instill what Hawaiian music represents. Project KULEANA provides mentorship and cultural development with immersive weekend workshops alongside professionals in various fields of education, media, ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, moʻolelo and performing arts. Project KULEANA Nā Moʻo also provides exposure to and discussion about career pathways in the areas of education, performing arts, technical services, engineering, project planning, media and marketing.

As a culminating piece of the partnership, Project KULEANA produced a music video that uplifts our youth and celebrates Kauaʻi. Can you spot the members of our KS ‘ohana who participated?
