Kamehameha Schools was founded by the will of Bernice Pauahi Bishop, the great-granddaughter of Kamehameha the Great.

On Dec. 2. Our high school held the 2nd annual Poetry Out Loud contest. This year the contest grew to more than ten contestants. Everyone did a wonderful job! Mahalo to Tai Kauha'a-Po, Mia Symonds, Justice-Lee Vannatta-Kapoi, Ikaika Mendez, Sam Ostermiller, Lexi Mae Pruse, Tatiana Martinez, Kortney Russell, Mikaela Bega, Tayler Siminski, Lansen Nitahara and Justin Shiffler for competing.
Special congratulations go out to the winner, Tayler Siminski. We are excited to cheer Tayler on as she competes at the state level in February.
