The signing of Princess Pauahi’s will set into motion an extraordinary legacy of learning that would empower Native Hawaiians to strengthen their identity, lead Hawai‘i into a vibrant and thriving future, and help to restore the earth and advance humankind.
Inspired by that legacy is “With the Stroke of Her Pen: A Tribute to Ke Ali‘i Pauahi” which airs on Sunday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. on KHNL. The 30-minute tribute was created in commemoration of Princess Pauahi’s 190th birthday. It features a historical timeline, a reflection on Pauahi’s living legacy, expressions of gratitude by students, staff and alumni; and visions of a vibrant future for Native Hawaiians and all of Hawaiʻi. KS Executive Culture Officer Dr. Randie Kamuela Fong KSK’78 served as executive producer of the tribute.
