While everyone was enjoying their winter break, nine students embarked on a journey that will be forever etched in their hearts. Papa Hoʻokele, an introductory course to wayfinding, was taught by apprentice navigator Kala Baybayan Tanaka and Maleko Lorenzo, KSM ʻ13 alumnus. This intensive three-week course ended with a sail to Molokai and back on waʻa kaulua Moʻokiha O Piʻilani.
