Ocean Life

April 15, 2016

Contributed by Kristen Purdy

Kindergarten students in Kumu Hondaʻs class have been busy learning about ocean animals. They went on a whale watch and learned about endangered ocean animals. They also created a list of all the ocean animals that they could think of.  They signed up for one animal with a partner and used their iPads to search for ocean animal pictures.  After studying the pictures, they created a model of their animal using play dough. They are learning to have a greater respect for the ocean and the animals that live in it.
