Here is an update on the impact of the ongoing wildfires on Kamehameha Schools Maui sites for the rest of the week.

For Thursday, Aug. 10, and Friday, Aug. 11:

Closed:

• Kamehameha Schools Maui K-12 campus
• ʻAʻapueo Preschool
• Paukūkalo Preschool

Open and Operational:

• Hāna Preschool
• Kamehameha Schools’ Regional Office

Please note that all campus activities, including sports, scheduled for these dates will also be canceled.

We understand the significance of this situation and want to reassure you that the safety and well-being of our haumāna, faculty and staff remains our priority. Our leadership is in regular communication with state and county officials to assess potential threats and evaluate how we can respond to the needs of our Maui community. 

Decisions about the re-opening of Kamehameha Schools sites on Maui for the following week will be made and communicated to you over the upcoming weekend.
