Aug. 30, 2017

Students can now experience learning in a 3D environment. The IT department, headed by Minh Nguyen, added an HTC Vive VR station to the available resources for students to experience learning in new ways in addition to a 3D printing station. Apps include a 3D painting app like photoshop in a 3D space, a flying app where the player can navigate across landscapes and sky via Google Earth, a space launch experience, and a biology app where parts of the human body can be examined and moved in space. Apps are refreshed on a monthly basis so there's a variety to choose from. Student Kahekili N. was the first MS student to experience the VR station and summed up his experience when asked what he thought about it. Kahekili: "This is majestic."
