We take a moment this week to celebrate and thank our hoa kumu this week for all that they do to make learning fun and engaging for our haumāna.

May 6, 2024

E nā hoa kumu e ʻauamo like nei i ke kuleana hoʻoulu lāhui a ke aliʻi i waiho mai ai no kākou, aloha nui kākou.

On behalf of our Kamehameha Hawaiʻi campus, I am thankful you were called to carry this kuleana as a kumu, working to prepare our haumāna to be ready to step into the world, grounded to serve and prepared to lead and answer the challenges that will inevitably come their way.

Because of you, because of what you do every day, because of your aloha for our mission, your unwavering service, and your commitment to excellence, we get to make a difference in the lives of our keiki, ʻōpio, ‘ohana, and kaiāulu across our pae ʻāina and honua. You are so greatly appreciated.

Mahalo palena ʻole iā ʻoukou pākahi a pau.

Our kumu help lift spirits and voices, instilling confidence and joy in our learners.

Our kumu empower our learners to take ownership and kuleana to improve themselves in practice so they can master key skills.

Our kumu provide guidance and support so learners can find their own path to solutions for the problems they identify.
