Ever wonder what the average income is among Native Hawaiians and how it compares with other ethnic groups in the state? Or the Native Hawaiian population on each island?
The answer to these and other burning questions can be found in the Kamehameha Schools reference book, “Ka Huakaʻi,” which contains key findings on Native Hawaiian population as well as their economic, social, emotional, cultural and physical well-being.
The last edition of “Ka Huaka‘i” was released in 2014. The KS Strategy and Innovation Group is seeking input to envision new ways of sharing Native Hawaiian population data with the broader community, making it more accessible, more current, and better tailored to the needs of users.
Share Your Mana‘o – Take the Survey
The “Ka Huakaʻi” survey contains 10 questions and takes about 10 minutes to complete. It includes questions about how you’ve used the publication in the past and/or how you might use it in the future. Even if you haven’t used “Ka Huakaʻi” before, the Strategy and Innovation team still wants to hear how you prefer to find and use information.
Results of the survey will be used to guide improvements to “Ka Huakaʻi” to best support community needs. Please share this article with those who might be interested in participating.
Help to share the story of the Native Hawaiian lāhui – of inspiration and hope, ongoing challenges, and the journey of well-being and educational progress.
