About 200 ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi volunteers are needed for on Friday, June 29 for Pō ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian Language Night) at the Aloha Stadium’s 50th State Fair.

On Friday, June 29, the State DOE Office of Hawaiian Education/Keʻena Kaiapuni, E.K. Fernandez, and Kanaeokana are teaming up to sponsor Pō ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian Language Night) at the Aloha Stadium’s 50th State Fair.
To make this happen, organizers are looking for 200 ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi volunteers (able to speak at a conversational level) who are willing to work 2.5-hour shifts between 6:00 and 11:00 p.m.
The job would be to converse in ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi with game players, riders and/or those at food booths. Please help make this ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi event a possibility by sharing your time and language skills.
As the Kanaeokana team reminds us, “The more we can gather to create these spaces, the more they will just happen on their own as well. So let’s make these things we imagine come true!”
