Lauren Nahme named VP of Strategy and Innovation

Lauren Nahme brings seasoned expertise, deep passion for the children Kamehameha serves and a clear understanding of KS’ visioning and strategic planning processes to the executive team.

Nahme has been named Vice President of Strategy and Innovation, and she will lead direct support to the CEO and executive leadership team for strategic planning efforts, goals and measures development, progress monitoring and reporting, research and data needs.

She is also responsible for measures, and monitoring and reporting for education programmatic support, including consultative and implementation support for curriculum and assessment design and program evaluation.

Lauren Nahme brings a wealth of varied and extensive experience to her new position at Kamehameha Schools. Since January of 2010, Nahme has served Kamehameha as the director of Strategic Planning and Implementation, providing direct support to the chief executive officer for strategic planning efforts.

Nahme began her career at Kamehameha Schools in 2006, serving for three years as the organization’s controller, responsible for financial and investment reporting, accounting operations, procurement and budget.

Prior to joining Kamehameha, Nahme was the chief financial officer for the Hawaii State Federal Credit Union. In addition, she is a former vice president and controller for City Bank. She has also served as a chief financial officer, controller and part-owner of Ono Construction.

Nahme has a passion for support of underserved children and has dedicated her time to several community organizations, including serving on the board for Touch-A-Heart, a start-up social enterprise that helps fund training programs for disadvantaged adults and youth. She is also a board member for Lei Hoʻolaha Community Development Financial Institution, which supports community organizations and charter schools. 

Nahme is a graduate of the University of Hawaiʻi-Mānoa with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
