Kumuola student research aides highlighted by WebsEdge Science

March 31, 2025

WebsEdge Science highlights the work of our student research aides at the Kumuola Marine Science Education Center. The work of Kumuola aims to center students within a network of local and external partners to leverage innovative science and technology for the betterment of our environment and the advancement and empowerment of our community.

As a Native Hawaiian serving institution, student experience and agency is grounded in cultural-based practices around indigenous food systems (fishponds), with the goal of restoring health to these spaces through student research that re-centers indigenous innovation and leadership within society.
