KSM Alumni Return for 8th Grade Career Day

On Friday, Septemeber 22, 2017, a handful of Kamehameha Schools Maui Alumni returned to our Kula Waena campus to share information and insight about their respective careers.

Each year, our 8th grade haumāna participate in Career Day.  This year, they were lucky to hear from a handful of KSM Alumni.  The alumni who returned to campus to share about their careers were Brenn Nakamitsu (KSM ʻ06), Amber Corpuz (KSM ʻ07), Kamuela Kalehuawehe (KSM ʻ08), Kela Lau Hee (KSM ʻ07), Eli Ferreira (KSM ʻ10), Keli Hayase (KSM ʻ10), Keliʻi Dias (KSM ʻ08), Chase Bell (KSM ʻ09) and Kanoelani Steward (KSM ʻ08).  

We were very fortuante to have so many alumni return to campus and look forward to more opportunites to reconnect with our alumni. 


Cookies baked by the pastry chefs at the Four Seasons Resort, where Kela Lau Hee (KSM ʻ07) is a chef, were a big hit amongst the haumāna.


Brenn Nakamitsu (KSM ʻ06) shares about the equipment he uses to help run his multimedia and photography business called Kilinahe Media.


Students were very interested in the tools used by Amber Corpuz (KSM ʻ07) in her career as a Police Evidence Specialist.


Kanoelani Steward (KSM ʻ08) shared a video with the haumāna about her time spent at Papahānaumokuākea and the research she did there.


Chase Bell (KSM ʻ09) talked to haumāna about his experiences as a former KSM student and about his career as a Police Officer.
