As we look ahead, we remain hopeful that more normalcy will return to our lives as we emerge stronger from enduring the challenges of this pandemic. We will remain vigilant and ready to adjust as conditions dictate, with safety always as our sacred kuleana. This month, we begin the process of preparing to welcome back our haumāna next school year.

MĀLAMA OLA DOCUMENTS NEEDED

As part of the re-enrollment, Mālama Ola has also compiled a resource packet with the forms needed to be completed for medical clearance for returning students, with additional instructions for any students who plan to participate in athletics.

Packets have grade level specific checklists in them:

Find instructions on how to update your keiki's Moʻomōʻali Olakino Electronic Health Record (EHR), and relevant forms if your child may need to take or have available a medication on-campus, or a physical evaluation form for those entering grades 3 and 5 next year. Medical clearance will need to be completed by June 1, 2021.

SCHOOL YEAR 2021-2022 CALENDAR

With what we know now, Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi is pleased to also present its school calendar for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year.

We encourage parents to use the school calendar when planning vacations and trips for your keiki. Please consult your keiki's Student and Parent Handbook to determine excused and unexcused absences since student attendance at school is very important to your keiki and their kumu.

As we are all familiar with by now, unanticipated events may require changes to the school calendar, and we will update you as soon as those changes are known. You may also find additional dates and events on our campus website at hawaii.ksbe.edu.

As always, if you have questions, concerns, or manaʻo, please consult with your unit office or email us at kshawaii@ksbe.edu
