The annual KS Maui Christmas Concert included performances by elementary, middle and high school students.  The standing room only audience was treated to the melodious voices of the elementary and middle schools as they sang their 1st place divisional Na Mele competition songs.  Members of 7th grade E ʻImi Mau (chant & dance) shared their hula.  The high school students in choir, ʻukulele, guitar, and Hawaiian ensemble classes filled Keopuolani Hale with much Christmas cheer that included songs such as All I Want for Christmas, Carol of the Bells and O Holy Night.  The evening ended with Silent Night that included all of the students and audience.  Mahalo to the students and their kumu for bringing the joy of Christmas to ʻAʻapueo.

Students performed a variety of traditional Hawaiian hula dances as a group and also accompanied by choirs and ensembles. The award winning ES Choir sang Kananaka and Ka'Aahi Kahului which were arranged by Kamehameha School's very own Clarke Tuitele. Choirs, guitar ensembles, ukulele ensembles, and mixed ensembles performed a variety of music including classic Christmas songs such as All I Want For Christmas Is You, Carol of the Bells, and O Holy Night/Po Hemolele in both Hawaiian and English. The finale was performed by combined ensembles including Christmas Medley and Silent Night/Po La'i e and included the audience who were invited to join in singing to close out the night.

Mahalo nui to the students and kumu for their hard work and exceptional performances, and also to the administration who make it all possible!
