One of the greatest strengths of Kamehameha Maui, affirmed by the Accreditation self-study process, is the commitment by leadership, faculty, and staff to the mission of the school and to the vision of preparing students to lead successful and fulfilling lives while they contribute, locally and globally, to a thriving lāhui. This strength is also supported by Successful Practices Network survey data that shows a high percentage of staff reporting that their day to day actions are aligned with the mission. Findings across the self-study report affirm that there is a clear understanding, by all stakeholders, of the mission and vision of the school and that the vision guides much of the decision-making across the campus.
