KS Kapālama haumāna help pay tribute to Senator Akaka

To honor and celebrate the life of the late Senator Daniel Akaka, a memorial service was held at the Hawaiʻi State Capitol on Friday, May 18, 2018.

Students from Kamehameha Schools Kapālama, Akaka’s alma mater, performed during the program for the event with Hawaiian Ensemble, Marching Band and Concert Glee haumāna taking part in the festivities, sharing a hoʻokupu through their performances for the Akaka ʻohana, paying tribute to a beloved pua a Pauahi.
