Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Concert Glee Club performs "Kamalei A Paoa", a mele inoa written in honor of Myron “Pinky” Thompson. The performance was a pairing to a cultural piece that Royal Hawaiian Center put together for their cultural feature on Thompson in their publication, R Magazine.

KS Kapālama Concert Glee Club performs at KS Maui this Sunday

This Sunday, April 15, the melodic voices of the Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Concert Glee Club are coming to Pukalani for a special concert and performance at KS Maui.

Under the direction of Zachary Lum and Kalua Tataipu, Concert Glee will present “Kulāiwi” celebrating the mele of our home, Hawaiʻi.

For this special performance, they will be joined by the KS Maui Hawaiian Ensemble, under the direction of Kalei ʻAʻarona-Lorenzo and Henohea Kāne.

The performance will take place in Keōpūolani Hale, starting at 4 p.m. This special event is free and open to the public. All are invited to come together and celebrate Hawaiian music with Kulāiwi!
