  Recent KS Maui graduate Emmi-Lin Felten was one of three Maui high school awardees.
   
• Ian Walsh Menehune Mayhem Foundation awards scholarships to six Maui students (Maui Now)
  The Ian Walsh Menehune Mayhem Foundation awarded $5,000 scholarships to six recent Maui graduates. In the fall, Emmi-Lin Felten from KSM will study Environmental Science, Policy and Conservation at Pacific University.

  Hawaiian Airlines is now serving lilikoʻi butter made by the KS Hawaiʻi student.

  Pauahi Keiki Scholars and Kipona scholarships were mentioned in an article about financial aid at Hawaiʻi private schools.

• Multifaceted musician Aaron Mahi inspired generations (Honolulu Star-Advertiser)
  Aaron Mahi, a musician, composer, conductor, recording artist, kahu and bandmaster of the Royal Hawaiian Band for 24 years, died just days before his 71st birthday.
   
• 'Moana' Star Auliʻi Cravalho and Sheba Cat Food on Mission To Save Coral Reefs of Hawaiʻi (Yahoo!)
  The Kapālama alum partnered with Sheba and Kuleana Coral Reefs for a short film series titled “Growing Hope in Hawai’i,” highlighting coral-reef restoration during Coral Reef Awareness Week.
   
• Kapālama grad wins judges over with hula, vocal combo, winning Miss Hawaii 2024 crown (Hawaii News Now)
  Hayley Cheyney-Kane KSK’15 was crowned Miss Hawaiʻi 2024 and will compete in the Miss America 2025 competition later this year.

  Mana + Pua, a contemporary European bistro that originated on Oʻahu’s North Shore, has transformed into a celebration of culture and living at its new location in SALT at Our Kakaʻako.

ATHLETICS

  Recent Kapālama graduate Mua Williams KSKʻ24 announced she will be attending the University of Georgia on a softball scholarship.

  Coaches and media voted the senior shortstop to a second-consecutive Position Player of the Year honor.
   
• Pitcher of the Year Greyson Osbun is baseball grinder (Honolulu Star-Advertiser)
  Osbun achieved an impressive 6-1 record with a 1.48 ERA in 42 2/3 innings, earning the KS Kapālama junior the title of Pitcher of the Year in high school baseball.
