This morning, kula ha'aha'a recognized and gave a big mahalo to those that keep us all safe and protected, that greet us with a smile as we come on to campus and send us on our way when we leave. Haumāna, kumu and  'ohana celebrated Security Appreciation Day, by donating several goodie baskets to the Security team as a mahalo for all that they do.

Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi kula haʻahaʻa haumāna and kumu celebrated Security Appreciation Day this morning, presenting several goodie baskets and words and mele of mahalo to the security team during their wā piko.

From all of the words shared that morning, it was easy to see how much safety means to our kula and how safety truly is first. Without safety, nothing else can take place.

At Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi, we are blessed to have the tremendous, high character security team that we have, that really are the best at what they do. This day, was an opportunity to share that mahalo for the waves each morning that start off our day to the hard work our officers put in working through the rain, directing traffic and above all, helping to make this place as safe as it can be.

Mahalo to gr. 2 and gr. 4 ʻohana who provided the makana for the appreciation baskets.

I Mua Kamehameha!

Kula Haʻahaʻa ʻAha ʻŌpio officers with members of our security team who were able to join in the celebration.
