Kamehameha Schools values the safety of its students, families and employees. Based on the current track of Tropical Storm Lane, and after assessing the conditions of each KS site, we will reopen all campuses, preschools, community program sites and offices with the exception of the KS Hilo Preschool on Monday, Aug. 27, 2018.
Our Hilo preschool will be closed on Monday due to flooding; staff and families will receive a separate update on the status of reopening this site via school messenger. All other KS preschool locations will resume on Monday.

We understand that parts of our pae ‘āina experienced varying degrees of effects from Hurricane Lane. For staff members unable to report into your work site due to storm-related circumstances, please contact your immediate manager to arrange alternative work schedules or time off.
As we pray for our families, staff and community partners affected by Lane and the devastating Maui brush fire that spread quickly with the wind, we will also focus on how we can kōkua.
Mahalo nui loa to our tireless staff who remained on duty throughout the storm to care for our keiki, ‘āina and facilities throughout the pae‘āina.
May Ke Akua bring all of our haumāna, faculty and staff safely back to school and work on Monday.
