Last week, Kāwili Kauaʻi – interactive experiences of Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Summer School along with Kilohana grades 3-4, and Kilohana grades 6-8 – culminated with a collective Hōʻike. Throughout the programs, students engaged in huakaʻi to Kauaʻi ʻāina sites, gave back to the community, shared experiences in weekly piko, and completed an all-program service-learning project at Alakoko Loko Iʻa led by community collaborator Mālama Hulēʻia.
