In fiscal year 2018, Kamehameha Schools spent $483 million on educational efforts, which equates to a 4.5 percent spend rate for the year. As of June 30, 2018, KS’ endowment is valued at $11.9 billion and is comprised of a globally diversified financial assets portfolio ($8.2 billion) and commercial real estate portfolio ($3.7 billion).
These and other KS-related facts and figures were published in a Report on Financial Activities advertisement that was published in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser on January 25, as is required by the Will of Ke Ali‘i Bernice Pauahi Bishop.
The second edition of Makawalu, the KS Annual Report, is currently in production and is expected to be delivered this spring.
