Kamehameha Schools continues to make significant strides toward achieving its educational mission, according to the trust’s newly released Fiscal Year 2014 Annual Report produced by KS’ Community Relations and Communications Group.

According to the report, Kamehameha invested $378 million in its campus- and community-based educational programs in fiscal year 2014 (July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014). Those programs served 48,417 learners – nearly 1,000 more than were served in fiscal year 2013.

“A ton of work goes into compiling these financial and educational highlights each year,” says KS Internal Communications Manager Ed Kalama, who served as editor of the annual report.

“Like many things at Kamehameha Schools, producing the report was truly a kākou (collaborative) effort.

“The Community Relations and Communications team receives a lot of support from our Strategic Planning and Implementation Group, Controller Division, Hoʻokahua Cultural Vibrancy Group, Legal Services Group and the Office of the CEO in publishing this report, and we just want them to know how much we appreciate their contributions,” Kalama added.
