K-12 ʻOhana Night on January 29

Jan. 14, 2025

We invite our K-12 ‘ohana to a special night dedicated to supporting the safety and well-being of our haumāna. Together, we’ll explore two important pillars of safety: building healthy relationships and making positive choices, with a specific focus on addressing the rise of vaping among our keiki and ʻōpio.

Guided by insights from our haumāna through focus groups at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, this evening will provide meaningful conversations and practical tools to strengthen our kula as a safe and nurturing kauhale for haumāna, ‘ohana and hoa kumu.

We’re excited to welcome these amazing presenters to lead our discussions:

  • Dr. Tracey Wise, KSH Behavioral Health Supervisor
  • Kai Carvalho, Hāmākua Health, Public Relations Director, Tobacco Treatment Specialist

We look forward to coming together as a kauhale to support and uplift one another. Let’s create a stronger, safer kula for our keiki and ʻōpio!

To help us prepare, please RSVP if you are able to attend

Childcare is available for school aged children.
