Each year on December 19, Kamehameha Schools celebrates Founder’s Day to honor the birthday of our benefactress, Ke Aliʻi Bernice Pauahi Pākī Bishop. This beloved tradition dates back to 1888, a year after the original School for Boys opened. For our keiki, kaiāulu and lāhui, she has created countless opportunities, and we are eternally grateful for her commitment to the betterment of Hawaiʻi.
