KanakaCon 2019 takes place this Sunday, March 10 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

Papa ʻEono has been hard at work preparing for KanakaCon!

One of the student organizers, Hiʻilani Perreira-Gaspar, spoke with 92.7 The Wave to talk more about the event, what to expect and why it’s happening.

"We want our community to see our progress or even our challenges, and we're hosting this event to prepare jobs of the future," shared Perreira-Gaspar.  "

"I am excited about this event, because we all have worked very hard and I feel like we should all have the opportunity to share with the people of the island of Hawaiʻi."
