The latest issue of “I Mua” magazine is now available to view online!
This new summer issue highlights the great work being done in the community by members of our KS ‘ohaha, and shares stories of ʻōiwi leadership showcased by KS alumni.
The magazine’s cover story features Friends of ‘Iolani Palace Executive Director Paula Akana KSK’80, who continues to lead an effort to keep the historic palace running amid the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to the popular alumni news section featuring class updates, alumni accomplishments and information on weddings, births and deaths, the new issue also highlights the legacy of KS Trustee Micah Kāne KSK’87 after his impactful 12-year tenure; the effort to educate through KS Digital; a look at the brand-new Kalanihookaha Learning Center in Nānākuli; ‘ōlelo Hawaiʻi lessons being taught via social media by KS Kapālama Kumu Kahanuola Solatorio KSK’10; a look back at Alumni Reunion 2021; and recognition of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands’ work in the community by a large group of KS alumni on staff 100 years after the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act was put in place.
Keep an eye on your mailbox for this issue, which is slated to arrive in mid-to-late October, but in the meantime, please enjoy and share this online version with ‘ohana, friends, co-workers and classmates.
