Ke Kula ‘o Kamehameha Kapālama and our preschools and offices on O‘ahu plan to reopen and resume normal operations tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026. Pu‘u Kāhea Preschool in Wai‘anae is also expected to reopen now that power has been restored.
Our preschools and office on Kaua‘i are anticipated to remain closed through Friday, Sept. 11. Individual Kamehameha sites will communicate directly with their communities about any additional information, updates, or adjustments to operations related to the storm.
The safety and well-being of our kaiāulu remain top of mind, and we extend our aloha to those across the pae ‘āina facing impacts from the severe weather. Let us mālama and kōkua one another in the days ahead. Mahalo nui for your patience and resilience during this hurricane season.
