Sept. 7, 2026

Ke Kula ‘o Kamehameha Kapālama and our preschools and offices on O‘ahu will also close tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026, in alignment with state and county closures due to Hurricane Lowell. This is in addition to the previously announced closure of Kamehameha sites on Kaua‘i tomorrow. Staff at closed sites will hear directly from their respective leaders with further guidance regarding work arrangements for tomorrow.

At this time, all campuses, preschool sites, and offices on Maui Nui and Hawai‘i Island are anticipated to remain open tomorrow. Individual Kamehameha sites will communicate directly with their communities about any adjustments to operations due to storm conditions.
