He Hoʻomanaʻo iā Dr. Kāwika Rose

April 8, 2026

On behalf of the ʻohana of Dr. Kāwika Rose, we humbly share this invitation to gather in remembrance and honor his life.

A service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 beginning at 10 a.m., at Lunalilo Hale here on our campus.

Dr. Rose was a dedicated and committed educator whose love for teaching was evident in every lesson he created and every student and fellow teacher he supported. He had a special gift for making mathematics meaningful and accessible, inspiring confidence, curiosity, and perseverance in each of our haumāna. He impacted so many on our campus through not only his teaching, but through his kindness, patience, and unwavering belief in each student's ability to succeed.

All faculty and staff members are invited to join our kula kiʻekiʻe haumāna, kumu, and alumni at 10:15 a.m. for oli kahea (Nehenehe) and oli komo (Kupu A'e Ka Liko). We will also offer Oli Mahalo before Kahu Boshard closes the service.

Mahalo for holding Dr. Rose's ʻohana in your loving thoughts and prayers.
