Kamehameha Schools was founded by the will of Bernice Pauahi Bishop, the great-granddaughter of Kamehameha the Great.
Student leaders organized a He Aloha No Maui day earlier this month for reflection and to send prayer and aloha to those impacted by this tragic event.
On August 15, KS Hawaiʻi student leaders, led by seniors Brayden Malani, Emily Hora, and Avani Naleimaile, put together a "He Aloha No Maui" day event for our high school students to come together in prayer and in an opportunity to show the aloha we have for our ʻohana on Maui.
Our hearts and prayers continue to be with them every day. Students put together a video highlighting some of the activities of that day alongside the beautiful manaʻo of Kahu Kaunaloa in uplifting those affected by this tragedy and to just share our love and compassion for our Maui ʻohana.
