Graduating seniors send message of aloha to 8th and 5th graders

May. 28, 2020

In the moments leading up to their graduation, our Hīhīmanu a Kāne Class of 2020, took a moment to remember and recognize their younger siblings who are also missing big moments in their final years at Kula Waena and Kula Haʻahaʻa.

These graduating seniors wanted to let them know that these 8th graders of the Class of 2024 and the 5th graders of 2027 are in their thoughts as they all experience the loss or dramatic changes of those milestone events. And just provide an uplifting message looking forward with advise for what they have ahead of them in the coming years.

Hīhīmanu a Kāne wanted to let them though that they'll always be in their hearts, forever bonded as pua a Pauahi and alumni of Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi!

See both messages below.

Hīhīmanu a Kāne mana’o for Papa 2027

Kamehameha Schools Hawai'iʻs Class of 2020 send their mana'o of hope and resilience to their younger 5th grade siblings who have missed a large portion of their milestone year in elementary.

Senior Joanne Farias helped coordinate this message from her class to the classes of 2024 and 2027.
