Kahiau is comparing the different regions of the ahupua'a - Maka'i, Kula and Uka.
Contributed by Tiare Sanchez
Grade 1 students have been working hard on their native animal project and study of the different regions of the ahupua'a. Guidance lessons have been focused on their work and development to compare and contrast the different land divisions and/or animals. As we study the Makai region in more detail, guidance lessons will reflect how every aspect of the ahupua'a is inter-related and interdependent on each other. Students will study how they are responsible to Malama aina and how they can share their knowledge with others through technology.
