December 19th is always a special day for Kamehameha Schools, as we take a moment to celebrate and remember the incredible vision and legacy of our founder, Ke Aliʻi Bernice Pauahi Pākī Bishop. Founder's Day is a time for song and reflection for what we have been blessed with here at Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi.
Because of fire code capacity limitations, the Founder's Day ceremony is invitation-only and tickets are required for guests to enter the gym. For those unable to join us, the event was streamed on the Kamehameha Schools YouTube channel on December 19 at 9 a.m., however there was a system failure, which cause the audio to repeat. A replay has been edited with audio from a different camera set up to serve as a redundancy. Apologies to everyone who experienced the technical difficulties today.
A link to the program is available on the Founder’s Day website.
