Aloha nui e Nā ʻOhana O Kamehameha Hawaiʻi,

We believe it’s important to ensure that everyone is informed about the actions we are taking to keep our Kamehameha Hawaiʻi ‘ohana safe and healthy while continuing to deliver an extraordinary learning experience for your child.

While our lives continue to be disrupted by this global pandemic, and the new spikes across our pae ʻāina may seem staggering right now, we can and will take proactive steps to face these challenging and uncertain times together. He waiwai nui ka lōkahi. Unity is precious.

Effective today, all of our Kamehameha Schools K-12 campuses and preschools will extend distance learning through Fall Break. For our kula, students could return to campus on Tuesday, October 13, pending conditions at that time.

Our campus will remain open for supply pick-ups or essential support, unless County or State orders dictate otherwise. Your poʻo kumu will continue to provide regular communication regarding your child’s distance learning program. This does not impact students who have opted in to the distance learning program prior to the start of the school year.

While COVID-19 will continue to test our resiliency and the strength of our Kamehameha Hawai’i ‘ohana, we remain kūpaʻa in our partnership with you to ensure student-centered, kauhale-support for all of our learners.

‘O au iho nō me ke aloha kauhale ē,

M. Kāhealani Naeʻole-Wong
