KS represents at the Seabury Cross Country meet. Our own Kaeo Keomaka placed 1st for the boys. Here's what he had to say.

How does it feel to take 1st?

Kaeo: It feels good because because for the past few years I've been trying hard to come in first, but would place 5th or so. This year I was finally able to come in first.

What was training like?

Kaeo: It was really hard and painful at times, but it paid off in the end.

What are some examples of the training that you would do?

Kaeo: In the morning I run 3 miles, and then I run 3 miles in the afternoon. On Friday night before the races I would eat spaghetti because it has a lot of carbs so I have plenty of energy for the next morning. Then for breakfast I would eat bagels and oatmeal for additional energy.

Jayden Pahukula trained on weekends by taking jogs to the park. Everyone who attended enjoyed the meet and look forward to more events in the future.
