Stacey Carroll has joined Kamehameha Schools as director of compensation and benefits and will oversee compensation, benefits, workplace wellness, and rewards and recognition. Her first day on the job will be Monday, August 25.

Most recently, Carroll had a thriving Human Resources consulting business which provided strategic HR consulting, specializing in compensation, benefits administration and organizational development and training.

Prior to this, Carroll worked at PayScale, Inc. where she held positions as director of customer service and education, and director of professional services and education. Carroll had been working with KS as a consultant since November 2013. Her experience with KS has deepened her interest in serving Pauahi’s mission.

An expert in her field and an excellent communicator, Carroll is a highly regarded speaker across the country on various human resources topics.  She has been well-received and respected by organizations for her technical skills, collaborative approach and visionary thinking, especially when it comes to implementing compensation programs.

“I am excited about the opportunity to work with Kamehameha Schools in support of an amazing mission,” said Carroll.  “I have always believed firmly in the power of education to improve our world. Being a part of KS means that I will get to play a small part in the efforts to protect and preserve the Hawaiian culture and language and fulfill the legacy of Princess Pauahi.  I have a lot that I want to contribute towards the recruitment, development and retention of talent at Kamehameha, and a lot that I want to learn from my experience here.”

Carroll grew up as the oldest of six children in and around the Seattle area.  She attended Western Washington University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and a master’s degree in business administration.  Carroll moved to Oʻahu with her husband this past April and resides in Kailua.  She loves her family (especially her niece and nephews), and enjoys the beach, traveling and scrapbooking.

I have always believed firmly in the power of education to improve our world. Being a part of KS means that I will get to play a small part in the efforts to protect and preserve the Hawaiian culture and language and fulfill the legacy of Princess Pauahi.
