Our campus took several precautions ahead of the storm to minimize any impacts felt from Hurricane Hone.

Campus will be open and school will be in session tomorrow

Aug. 25, 2024

We hope that you and your ʻohana are safe and well.

With safety of your keiki and our kauhale as our sacred kuleana, we continue to be vigilant and work closely with our county Civil Defense, Hawaiʻi Emergency Management Agency (HIEMA), and Kamehameha Schools’ Enterprise Safety Crisis Management Team to monitor the effects of this storm system, as well as the other two storm systems that are approaching our island and are prepared to communicate any adjustments to our program delivery as soon as possible.

In addition to the guidance we’ve received through ongoing communication with our partners, our campus administrators and operations teams have completed a thorough assessment of the campus for any impact as a result of Hurricane Hone, and we are thankful that no major damage has occurred, conditions are improving, which allows us to remain in normal operation for the school day tomorrow

Our operations team will continue to address and monitor all of our spaces to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.  If in returning to your space you notice any leaks or any damage that have occurred, please report it to the Operations Support team at 982-0024.

All buses will be on their normal pick-up schedule, though driving times may be adjusted based on road conditions or if an alternative route is necessitated. For any bus routes that require an alternate route, communication will be messaged directly from our Transportation department.

If your ʻohana has been impacted in any way where getting to school tomorrow will not be possible, continue to follow normal absence or leave procedures.

We pray that everyone remains safe as these weather systems pass.

E mālama pono!
