Kamehameha Schools Director of Planning and Development Cathy Camp has been recognized as one of the Girl Scouts of Hawaiʻi’s 2018 Women of Distinction.

The other honorees include Alica Moy, president and chief executive officer of Hawaiʻi Gas, and Denise Hayashi Yamaguchi, CEO and founder of the Hawaiʻi Food & Wine Festival and executive director of the Hawaiʻi Agricultural Foundation.

The annual event recognizes Hawaiʻi’s future leaders and most distinguished women from various career fields.

“It’s always an honor to recognize and celebrate the incredible women who are making a difference in our community,” said Girl Scouts of Hawai‘i Chief Executive Officer Shari Change. “All three women embody what it means to be a G.I.R.L. – a go-getter, innovator, risk-taker, and leader.”

Honorees will share their inspiring messages and stories at a March 9 awards dinner. Funds raised from the event directly benefit Girl Scouts of Hawaiʻi and its enhanced leadership programs for thousands of Girl Scouts across the state, and support their mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character.

The Girl Scout’s mission started in Hawaiʻi in 1917, and supports almost 5,000 girl and adult members statewide.
