Arrell named director of Philanthropy

Natalie Arrell has been named director of Philanthropy within the Kamehameha Schools Office of Advancement bringing  more than 30 years of experience in philanthropy and community development to the role, which carries a primary responsibility of fundraising on behalf of the organization.

Prior to joining the Kamehameha Schools ʻohana, Arrell served as director of development for the Hawaiian Humane Society, director of fund development for The Queen's Health Systems and executive director and vice president of development for the American Heart Association Hawaii.

“In my role as director of philanthropy, I look forward to working with a talented and dynamic advancement team to perpetuate the legacy of Ke Ali‘i Pauahi,” Arrell said. “Additionally, I am honored to partner with the Kamehameha Schools ʻohana, alumni, donors and the community to explore collaborative ways to deepen partnerships and inspire philanthropy in support of Kamehameha Schools’ mission and vision.”

Arrell was born and raised in Hawai‘i before moving to Los Angeles to work with multiple nonprofit organizations. This valuable experience helped her develop a passion for nonprofit work. In the years since, Arrell has served on various nonprofit boards and committees in Los Angeles and Hawai‘i, assisting with strategic planning, fundraising and community development.
